2026 PA Farm Show

It’s that time of year again, time for milkshakes, fried veggies, tractors, and the Ready PA Booth at the PA Farm Show!

The 2026 Farm Show runs from Saturday, January 10 through Saturday, January 17. It’s one of PEMA’s largest, and most effective outreach events. Here’s how:
Last year, staff helped:

  • Almost 150 people get monthly preparedness tips (and still have preparedness on their radar every month)
  • Close to 4,000 spin the wheel of misfortune and learn easy ways to be prepared (a dizzying number)
  • Empower almost 10,000 people through wet monopoly houses and flood demos, conversation, and learning.
  • (and 7 sipped on free milkshakes…see instructions below)

PEMA is looking for Farm Show volunteers. No special expertise is needed, only a willingness to talk with people and help them “spin” their way to learning something new on the Wheel of Misfortune. PEMA will provide all materials, talking points, and easy cheat sheets to guide you.

What You Need to Do

  1. Sign up by COB December 5: Click this link to choose your preferred shift(s).
  2. Sign up early: The first 15 people to sign up will be entered into a drawing to win one of seven free milkshakes.

Key Details

  • Shift Length: Each shift is 4 hours. You can sign up for multiple shifts if interested.
  • Teamwork: Shifts will have 2 to 3 people, in partnership with PEMA and/or the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
  • Experience Levels: Folks new to the Farm Show experience will be paired with returning volunteers, so no need to worry if this is your first time.

Pre-Event Briefing

PEMA will host short logistics and booth overview sessions on January 5 and January 8 to review setup, materials, and what to expect.

The Ready PA Booth is always a highlight of the Farm Show thanks to your enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to public service. Let’s make this another fun and impactful year, helping Pennsylvanians prepare for anything that comes their way.

Thanks in advance, and we hope to see you at the Farm Show!
